Special Measures for Cafe at S.H. Ho Academic Building (A) against COVID-19

The Government has introduced the Prevention and Control of Disease Regulation (“the Regulation”) (Cap. 599F) on 27 March 2020 to implement temporary measures to address the current situation of public health emergency, and some of the specific measures of the Regulation extend the restriction on the operation of catering business. In view of the above, the University has adopted the following measures at the Cafe at S.H. Ho Academic Building (A) from the next business day (30 March 2020) and shall remain effective up to 11 April 2020:
2) some of the tables and chairs at the Cafe are removed temporarily so that the number of customers at the Cafe would not exceed 50% of the normal seating capacity; and
3) tables settings are rearranged to allow more distance between each other.
1) ensure that no more than 4 persons be seated together at one table within the catering outlet; and
2) a person MUST wear a surgical mask at any time within the catering outlet, except when the person is consuming food or drink.
The University has implemented body temperature screening at all entrance checkpoints and hand sanitisers are provided at the Security Counters on campus.
