Extension of Special Measures for Cafe at S.H. Ho Academic Building (A) against COVID-19

1) all staff and students are encouraged to have their food/ beverage takeaway;
2) some of the tables and chairs at the Cafe are removed temporarily so that the number of customers at the Cafe would not exceed 50% of the normal seating capacity; and
3) table settings are rearranged to allow more distance between each other.

Limiting the local infection and transmission requires the collective effort of everyone in the community, so please follow the measures as required by the Government, including but not be limited to:
1) ensure that no more than 4 persons be seated together at one table within the catering outlet;
2) a person MUST wear a surgical mask at any time within the catering outlet, except when the person is consuming food or drink; and
3) properly maintain social distancing and avoid group gatherings would help to curb local transmission.

The University would continue to implement body temperature screening at all entrance checkpoints and hand sanitisers are provided at the Security Counters on campus.

Please be assured that the Catering Services Provider will continue to implement the precautionary measures and take all necessary actions to ensure the hygiene of the servicing staff and the seating areas at the Cafe.  We will continue to work with the Campus Development and Management Office to monitor and assess the situation closely, make necessary arrangements as appropriate and release timely announcement.
